Anna Slatcher – CSR and Sustainability trainer, Group Manager CSR at the John Lewis and Waitrose Group
Anna Slatcher is Group Manager, Corporate Responsibility at the John Lewis Partnership where she is responsible for supporting John Lewis Partnership in defining, implementing and communicating the Partnership’s Corporate Responsibility strategy.
She began her career in the Sustainability consultancy team of Jacobs in 2006 having graduated with an MA in Sustainable Business from the University of Leeds. She was involved in a range of projects including assurance and environmental impact assessments for major clients such as Coca Cola Hellenic and the Ministry of Justice.
She then joined the Corporate Responsibility team of Camelot – the National Lottery operator – leading on its responsible play strategy as well as setting and implementing environmental standards during a major refurbishment programme and running staff engagement initiatives. There she also led the production of the annual CR report and independent assurance process.
She is interested in how companies define ‘purpose beyond profit’ and how this drives success and employee engagement – something that she feels particularly passionate about.
