The Advanced Project Management course provides attendees with a concise overview of how to manage projects. The course examines the challenges projects face in the 21st century. The course ensures that attendees have a solid understanding of the terminology of project management and the importance of clear objectives and alignment with organisational needs.

The course ensures that attendees gain a clear and logical overview of the critical sequences involved (pre-project, scope, planning, risk, deliverables, and teams) and the importance of cross-project dependencies. Project risk management is a central theme as well as issues such as stakeholder management and ethics. Critical path analysis is looked at in-depth as well as finance and critical chain scheduling. Prince2 is used as an example of project management software. The handover process is examined and a summary of lessons learnt from major public sector and military-based (open source) projects discussed.

Please note this course runs on a 3-day week basis for three weeks - Monday to Wednesday.
